Washington, D.C. – May 28, 2024 – The Health Care Alliance for Patient Safety (HCAPS) today announces the recipients of the prestigious 2024 HCAPS Patient Safety Advocate Award. This year’s recipients include Representative John Rutherford (R-FL), Representative Dave Joyce (R-OH), Representative Chellie Pingree (D-ME), and Representative Paul Tonko (D-NY).
The HCAPS Patient Safety Advocate Award is given to policymakers who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to ensuring patient safety and recognizing the critical importance of the doctor-patient relationship in healthcare. These distinguished members of Congress have consistently prioritized patient well-being and advocated for policies that prioritize safety, quality, and the patient experience.
