FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[Alexandria, VA] – October 16, 2024 – The Health Care Alliance for Patient Safety (HCAPS) and its Partners Johnson & Johnson Vision, EssilorLuxottica, and CooperVision, are proud to announce a $50,000 contribution to the Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief (OFDR). HCAPS recognizes the urgent need to unite and provide assistance to those suffering in the wake of these devastating storms. As a dedicated member of the vision care community, HCAPS is committed to aiding fellow practitioners and their patients during this challenging time.

“As Chairman of HCAPS, I am proud to make this contribution to help those in the eye care community dealing with the aftermath of the catastrophic storms,” said Dr. David Cockrell. “In times of crisis, it is vital for us to come together and support one another.”

HCAPS and its partners urge all members of the vision and optometric community, as well as others, to contribute to the Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief through the Optometry Cares | AOA Foundation. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a significant difference in the lives of those impacted.
