APS Advocacy Survey
APS wants to hear from you! With a new Congress and presidential administration, there will be new opportunities to advocate for patient safety. Help us get to know you better by taking our survey. It will only take a minute, and we’ll be able to deepen our engagement with you as an advocate in 2021 and beyond.
Patient Safety Awareness Week
This year’s Patient Safety Awareness Week will be held March 14-20. The American Optometric Association (AOA) will be hosting a series of events and webinars to promote ways you and your organization can increase patient safety. Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved.
New Myopia Resource
from Johnson & Johnson Vision
Johnson & Johnson Vision, in partnership with the American Optometric Association, the Singapore Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry, released Managing Myopia: A Clinical Response to the Growing Epidemic.
The new guide is designed to provide guidance for eye care professionals on how to assess, monitor and treat myopia, especially in children as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact eye health.
Share Your Story
Have you or your practice been negatively affected by robocalls in the contact lens prescription verification process? Or has a patient had a negative outcome with contact lenses because of improper sales of contact lenses by online retailers? Share your story with us as we continue to advocate for stronger patient safety legislation.
Thank you to our many advocates. We look forward to working together this year to protect the doctor-patient relationship and strengthen patient safety.
