Dr. Andrea Thau Selected as an American Optometric Association (AOA) Representative to the Health Care Alliance for Patient Safety (HCAPS)

Washington, D.C. – December 19,2024 – The Health Care Alliance for Patient Safety (HCAPS) is proud to welcome Dr. Andrea Thau, a distinguished optometrist and advocate for patient care, as an American Optometric Association (AOA) representative to HCAPS. Dr. Thau’s appointment reflects HCAPS continued commitment to advancing patient safety and improving health care quality through collaborative efforts with other leading health care organizations.

As a respected leader in the optometric community, Dr. Thau brings extensive expertise and a passion for advocacy and patient-centered care to her new role. She has been a vocal advocate for enhancing patient safety across all areas of health care, and her participation in HCAPS will strengthen efforts to promote best practices and improve patient outcomes within the health care system.
